Scientology Support for Narconon

American Author and Humanitarian, L. Ron Hubbard, who developed the drug rehabilitation methods that the Narconon Program uses, was also the founder of the Scientology religion. Because of the nature of the writings and books used for Narconon which is purely to get a person to stop using drugs permanently, the program achieves unheard of results. But the Narconon drug and alcohol rehabilitation program as well as the Narconon drug prevention lectures are all secular programs which are open to members of all faiths, and the program supports any form of religion which the individual chooses to practice.

Because of its early history, Narconon had been able to enjoy the support of the Church of Scientology and individual Scientologists since its beginnings. In fact in 1966, when William Benitez, the founder of the Narconon program was in Arizona State Prison he was writing Mr. Hubbard and asking for his help to set up the original Narconon behind the prison walls.

And as Narconon has expanded through the years, the majority of new Narconon facilities established since that time have been made possible by the volunteer and financial support given by Scientologists as a very important part of the Scientology religion is simply to help others and society as a whole.

Through it’s more than 44 years of service, Narconon has had the opportunity to help thousands upon thousands of people from all backgrounds, races and religions and is a program that is open to all people. And as the Narconon program does have support from the Church of Scientology and its membership, it is also supported by many different religions, people, groups, leaders and governments.

The Narconon program brings new solutions to the field of drug rehabilitation and education to all peoples of the world and will continue to use Mr. Hubbard’s successful drug rehabilitation technology to stop the devastation of drug and alcohol addiction.
